Energized in 1960

Grassroots Program

2018 | The Capital

In May of 2018, Naknek Electric Association will travel to Washington D.C. to visit with congressional representatives and tour the landmarks of our nation. The Delegates selected to represent the Cooperative will include members, high school students, members of the Board of Directors and our CEO/General Manager. Members who are interested in participating as a Member Delegate should contact our office and inquire about space availability. Students who are interested in applying for the program should download an application. Applications are due on Friday February, 16th.

Energy Matters

One of the most important parts of this program is the opportunity for NEA Delegates to visit with congressional representatives and  ask important questions. At a time when energy is at the forefront of issues facing Rural Alaska, this is a great opportunity to represent and advocate for Bristol Bay and the Cooperative. These opportunities for face time with leaders such as Senator Lisa Murkowski and Congressman Don Young are an invaluable way to advocate for legislation that will continue to support sustainable infrastructure development in Rural Alaska long into the future.
