Power Cost Equalization

Greetings Naknek Electric Members,

As many of you may already be aware, Power Cost Equalization (PCE) program funding through the PCE Endowment is in jeopardy. As of the date of this correspondence PCE is not funded for FY 2020, July 1st 2019 to June 20th 2020. If PCE remains unfunded, or is underfunded, it will have a significant impact on residential members of our Cooperative and residents of rural Alaska across the state.

Naknek Electric is working with our state representatives and our trade association to advocate for the funding to be returned to the PCE program. In the meantime, you may want to conserve your electric usage as much as reasonably possible while we live under the uncertainty of an unfunded PCE program.
